Aparajita National Welfare Trust Celebrates Its Second Anniversary with Grand Ceremony

Lucknow: The second anniversary of the Aparajita National Welfare Trust was celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm on April 19 at the International Buddhist Institute, Gomti Nagar. The event marked a moment of pride and recognition for several women achievers and contributors to social causes, literature, education, arts, and public service.

The ceremony was inaugurated by the trust’s founder Dr. Anupama Shrivastav, President Prof. Seema Sarkar, Patron Neeta Mathur, and Chief Guest Engineer Manoj Shrivastav. In a spirit of celebration and empowerment, five outstanding women from diverse fields were felicitated with the Aparajita Samman. The honourees included:

  • Dr. Amita Dubey (Literature)

  • Sandhya Rastogi (Theatre)

  • Asha Singh (Sports)

  • Prof. Manjula Upadhyay (Education)

  • Dr. Tulika Rani, Army Squad Leader (Defense)

The organization’s annual newsletter and calendar were also officially released during the event.

Several guests who had supported Aparajita throughout the year were honoured with Aparajita Vandan as a token of gratitude, and media professionals were also recognized for their contributions. In a heartwarming gesture, senior member Dr. Srishti Shrivastav gifted a bicycle to a girl from an underprivileged background.

The cultural segment of the event was vibrant and captivating. It began with the Aparajita Song, performed by Pooja and Anushka, setting the tone for an evening of celebration. Other performances included:

  • A mesmerizing dance by Malvika

  • A soulful song by Smita

  • Group dance by the Stuti Dance Group

  • A special performance of the Aparajita Group Dance

  • A powerful rendition of the Aparajita Song by Kajal

In the award segment, special recognitions for excellence in stage performance were given to:

  • Rashmi Singh (Literature)

  • Niti Shukla (Culture)

  • Shikha Shrivastav (Education)

  • Sandeep Kaur (Entrepreneurship)

  • Anjula and Vineeta Tripathi (Stage Presentation)

Additional awards were presented to Vishuti, Malvika, Rakshita, and Dr. Apurva Awasthi for their special contributions.

Results of the year-long competitions held by the trust were also announced:

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice President Dr. Kshitij Shukla. The entire program was seamlessly coordinated and hosted by Dr. Shukla, along with Shikha Shrivastav and Arpana Saxena.
